The Houston Dressage Society’s mission statement says, in part, the club “is dedicated to furthering the art of dressage through education for its members.” To fill this mission, Houston Dressage Society (HDS) supports different types of  educational events throughout the year including symposiums, clinics, virtual events and in-person learning activities, e.g., saddle fitting. Some of these activities qualify participants for USDF University credits towards recognition certificates and diplomas.

HDS recognizes some members need financial support to further their education. To help support members, HDS offers the annual Joe R. Bushager Grant for rider education. HDS also supports various regional grants and scholarships established by The Dressage Foundation (TDF) including the Evie Tumlin Memorial Fund for USDF Region 9 Adult Amateurs and the USDF Region 9 Teaching Excellence Award, among many others.

The HDS Calendar lists upcoming HDS Education events. New events are offered frequently so check back often.
